These caregivers are independent contractors managing their own home-based services. They help individuals build life skills, foster relationships within the family and community, and support personal growth. This flexible living arrangement prioritizes individual choice and personalized care.
Specialized Consultative Services
STAMA’s Specialized Consultative Services provide expert guidance to family caregivers and staff through training and technical assistance in areas such as psychology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and nutrition. These services include evaluations for specialized equipment, such as assistive technology and home or van modifications, even when State Plan service limits are exceeded. Caregivers are also supported in learning how to effectively use this equipment, ensuring individuals receive the best possible care tailored to their unique needs.
